For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ~ Jesus (John 3:16)
Most people have heard this before. BUT…. What is it all about?
It is about salvation, redemption and relationship.
God loves you; He proved that love through giving us his Son Jesus.
Still what does that mean?
If you have the come to the point in your life where you are looking for meaning in this life, then a good places to start is with God, The creator of Heaven and the Earth.
FIRST: He loves you. You are the world that this is talking about.
SECOND: God gave his Son. Jesus said He was the Son of God sent from above to redeem the lost.
THIRD: We have failed God; we all have done wrong in his sight. We are the lost Jesus came to redeem.
So, God loved us and sent his Son Jesus to make things right between us.
That’s what you need to believe. That’s the “whosoever believes” part.
NOW THE BIG QUESTION:
What does it mean to believe? The devil believes, is he going to get everlasting life? Nope.
The evidence of your belief is shown through your actions.
Heaven and salvation are gifts. We are saved from perishing at the end of this life by GRACE.
We get what we don’t deserve, eternal life.
WHAT TO DO NOW:
Pray, take a moment and bow your head and talk to God.
Ask him to come live in your heart and clean your sins away.
Share what he did in your life with others.
WHAT I BELIEVE:
As a Christian I believe that Jesus was the Messiah He claimed to be. I believe I have been redeemed by the sacrifice that Christ did on the cross so that I might have eternal life. I believe it in my heart and confess it with my mouth. I believe the Bible to be my standard to judge what God wants me to do in life. I have dedicated most of my life in sharing the good news that there is hope in this world and joy can be found when you put your trust in a living God who sent his son Jesus. I believe He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. He is Jesus, the Saviour, and Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed. I also believe that those who have rejected God's gift are lost, and will not inherit eternal life. This saddens me and it also motivates me to share the gospel with as many as I can. I am not ashamed.
